2018 BATTLE OF THE FANS - SEMIFINALIST
Battle of the Fans featured a revamped competition in 2018. The new format saw 9 schools advance to a semifinal round where they competed to be selected as one of three finalists. The semifinal round required schools to complete 10 social media challenges, designed to guarantee that finalists have school spirit that is well rounded and isn't only limited to the larger events. Although Flight Club showed they are a state leader in many aspects of school spirit, Charlotte was unable to advance past the semifinal round. The 2017-18 school year will be remembered as the Year of the Spirit Bus. Flight Club filled at least two spirit buses for every away football game and took a bus to volleyball, soccer, boys basketball and girls basketball events as well.
